In FIRST HUNT, teenager Nora Touchette embarks on her first solo deer hunt, determined to prove herself to her indifferent father and favored brother. Alone in the early morning woods, she encounters not just the elusive buck she's tracked for weeks but also the frozen corpse of a boy. Torn between the crippling fear and staying focused on her hunt, Nora chooses silence, kills her buck, and returns home, craving recognition that never comes. Haunted by the boy’s unblinking eyes and the quiet intimacy of their encounter, she returns the next day only to find his body gone. A film about loneliness, feeling seen, and dark desire.
